Biography

Originally from Saint-Hyacinthe, the artist now resides in L'Acadie, Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, Canada. When she was approximately 12 years old, she initiated herself how to paint with oils. Somewhat self-taught, while in the work force, she completed her training with different artists and academies, and participated in miscellaneous workshops. Beginning in 1995, she devoted herself exclusively to painting.

 

She prefers oil painting, but also uses watercolour, soft pastel and egg tempera. She expresses herself through different subjects. We find her scenes a great concern of detail and the luminosity that is a characteristic of her art are very apparent.

 

She has to her credit several group art exhibitions, many solo and duo exhibitions, and she has had many honorary awards bestowed upon her including a reproduction and national recognition in 2004. She is a professional member of different associations. We can see her paintings in galleries, as well as in repertories, magazines and art memorandum books. Tele-Quebec et TVHR9 has even showed her art. Moreover, we can rediscover her painting in private and corporate collections in Canada, United States, France, Germany, England and Japan.
